In that case, Boosters like JOOWIN and NextFi are an amazing option for everyone. But for that, you need to know how to set up the NextFi WiFi booster.

In the article below, we will guide you step by setup on how you can set up the NextFi WiFi booster without any problem. Follow the guide, and your wifi booster will be set up in no time.

What is a WiFi booster?

Before we get into the guide, it is important that you know what a WiFi booster actually is. A WiFi booster is a device that helps extend the range of your home or office wireless network. By boosting the signal, it can help eliminate dead spots and give you better coverage throughout your space.

It comes in handy if you have dead network corners in your house. You can use your internet anywhere around the building using a WiFi booster or also known as a WiFi repeater. The way it works is it gets the signals from the WiFi, and then further amplifies them increasing the overall range of the WiFi.

How To Do A NextFi WiFi Booster Setup?

The NextFi WiFi booster is a small, easy-to-use device that you can plug into any outlet in your home. Once it’s plugged in, the NextFi will create a new, powerful WiFi signal that will extend throughout your home, giving you better coverage and faster speeds.

NextFi has a free app that makes it easy to set up and manage your new WiFi network. Here’s a comprehensive guide to setting up your NextFi WiFi booster:

Step 1 Plug Your Booster Into The Outlet

Make sure that you are setting up your device near an outlet, and you will need it. Plug in the device to a working outlet so, that the booster can get power. Once you have connected the device, you should see three lights on the right, which will indicate that the device is working fine.

If you don’t see the lights, try to reset the device so that any issue can be resolved. Once you have reset the device, you will see three lights, which will show that you have connected the device properly to the outlet.

Step 2 Connect To The Extender SSID

Open your computer/ cell phone’s WiFi settings and choose the wifi-2.4g-XXXX. Make sure that you know that the device only works with the 2.4 GHz WiFi band. Choosing the correct WiFi band disconnects all of your mobile data so that your mobile does not have any access to the internet. This will allow you to prevent any connection issues.

Step 3 Open A Webpage

Open a webpage on your device and search for 192.168.188.1 in the address bar. The management page will appear. Some of you might face some issues, and this page will not appear. Thus, check if your mobile data is off or if you have connected the right SSID. And that might help you resolve your issue.

Step 4 Enter Default Password

On the management, the page enters the default password to log in, which is “admin”. Once done, look for the SSID of your host router. Click on it and then enter your Wi-Fi router’s password.

Step 5 Connect the Booster

You can now modify your NextFi WiFi booster’s SSID and password. The default ID/password that the booster comes with includes the original SSID-pro-2.4G and abc123321. Now, by confirming the wireless info click on the connect option. This will set up the NextFi WiFi booster after taking 30 to 45 seconds.

After that, you will be able to see the 4th light on the booster. This will show that your device is connected properly, and now you can use the extender without any problem.

How do I reset my NextFi Wi-Fi Extender?

Resetting the NextFi WiFi booster is just as simple as setting it up. All you need to do is connect the extender to a working outlet, and find the reset button on the device, which you will probably find on its bottom.

By using a thin object like a pin or paperclip, press the reset button for around 10 to 15 seconds. After that, wait for the lights on the device to come up. After some seconds, the lights will come up, which means that you are successful in resetting your WiFi booster.

Can You Install Multiple NextFi Boosters?

The answer is simple and applies to almost all WiFi repeaters. You can set up multiple boosters in your house or office without any problem, and it will just make the WiFi performance and range a lot better.

All the dead internet spots will disappear at your place, allowing you to easily surf through the internet. Thus, mostly in houses, you might not need more than one booster. But it all depends on your preferences and needs.

Do WiFi boosters work?

A WiFi booster can help extend your network’s range and improve its overall performance if you live in an area with spotty WiFi. But do they work? In short, yes. A WiFi booster can help to boost your signal and give you the coverage you need.

However, it’s important to note that a booster will not work if there is no signal, to begin with. So, if you’re in an area with very limited or no service, a booster will not be able to help you. It will also not provide many benefits for those already getting solid signals from their provider.

There are some things to consider when using a booster, such as whether or not you have access to power and how far away from the router, you’ll be boosting the signal (for best results, this should be less than 150 feet).

You may also want to consider what type of connection you want (wired or wireless) and which frequency band works best for your region. There are even options out there that don’t require any installation. Plug them in and start boosting.

Do WiFi boosters make your Internet better?

A WiFi booster can improve your Internet connection by boosting the signal from your router. This can help if you have a large home or office or live in an area with much interference. By boosting the signal, you can get better speeds and reliability.

To know how much difference, it will make for you, you need to know what kind of environment you are in and what equipment you use. NextFi boosters work best when placed near the window closest to your Internet service provider’s antennae.

If you already have good coverage around your house but want better reception upstairs, then you should place it in a central location on the second floor near where people tend to congregate.

How long does it take to set up?

If you want to set up the NextFi WiFi booster, know that it is quick and easy to set up. In most cases, it should only take a few minutes. However, a few things can impact the setup time, such as the number of devices you have and the size of your home. Your customer support team is always happy to help if you’re having trouble.

How much coverage will I get?

The NextFi system has a design that extends the reach of your home’s existing WiFi network. Depending on the size and layout of your home, you can expect coverage in every room with a strong signal. It’s important to remember that your range will depend on the size and layout of your home, as well as any physical obstructions like thick walls or floors made from concrete.

Generally speaking, most homes will experience a strong signal in most rooms. The NextFi Home Wi-Fi Boosters can provide up to 1,000 square feet (100 square meters) of total coverage per unit. In situations where you need more than two units for total coverage throughout your entire house or office building, we recommend installing all units outside windows or large doorways. There they can be connected wirelessly via Ethernet cable and plugged into power outlets near their location.

Can I move the booster around?

Yes, the NextFi booster is a pretty portable device. You can move it around as needed to get the best possible signal in your home or office. However, remember that you need to plug the booster into an outlet for power.

The placement of the plug will determine where you place the booster. Ideally, you should not place the booster near metal objects such as refrigerators and microwaves because these objects cause interference with radio waves. But if you need to place the extender near metal, ensure there are at least six inches between them.

What happens if I change routers/modems?

If you change your router or modem, you must reconfigure your NextFi settings. To do this, log into your account and select the Change Router/Modem option. Then, follow the prompts to enter your new router’s information. If you have trouble, your customer support team is always happy to help! It doesn’t sound straightforward. The easiest way to ensure that your system is set up correctly is by following these steps:

• Plug in the booster next to your modem or router

• Find out what type of internet connection (wired or wireless) it has

• Choose a channel on the booster for your connection (1-7)

• Enter your wireless network name and password, if needed

• Hit connect

Does my internet provider need to support this technology?

If you have a modern router, it already supports NextFi technology. However, you will need to check with your internet provider to make sure they also support the technology. Most providers should be able to support it, but there may be some that do not yet.

In that case, you may need to switch providers or look into other options. What’s more, if you want to boost your signal outside your home, you’ll need an external antenna like our NextFi Signal Boosters.

It’s an antenna connecting to the NextFi device to extend the signal outside your home. Once installed and connected to power, it amplifies and transmits data over WiFi. Just put one in each corner of the house for best results.

Do I need an extender?

A WiFi extender helps extend the reach of your wireless signal. You can place it anywhere in your home where you need a stronger signal. If your home is more than 1,500 square feet, you have a lot of devices connected to your WiFi, or you live in an older home with thicker walls, you may need a WiFi extender.

What kind of extender should I get?

There are a few things to consider when purchasing a WiFi extender. The first is the range. How far away from your router do you need the extender to reach? The second is speed. How fast do you need your internet connection to be? And finally, you’ll want to consider compatibility. Ensure the extender you choose is compatible with your router and other devices.
